Trackway hire gives you a stable, load-bearing surface over soft, wet or sensitive ground, so HGVs, cranes and plant can reach sites that would otherwise be impassable. Our track mats are hired by construction contractors, event organisers, utilities teams and film productions across the UK, for both short events and months-long temporary trackway on construction sites.
We run five systems, from lightweight pedestrian-capable trackway to 150-tonne composite panels. Track mats for hire are delivered on your schedule, installed if you want them laid, and collected at the end of the hire. No purchase commitment, no storage costs, no maintenance.

How much does trackway hire cost?
Track mat hire is not a single price. Two sites needing the same area can cost different amounts to service, so we quote against three things and show the working. That way there are no surprises when the invoice lands.
Area and quantity
The more panels you need, the lower the rate per panel. Transport and handling are spread across the load, so a full artic of trackway costs less per panel than a part load. We will work out the quantity from your drawings or dimensions.
Hire duration
Hire is normally quoted by the week. A one-week event hire costs more per day than a monthly construction hire because delivery, collection and cleaning are spread over a shorter period. Longer terms are priced on a negotiated basis.
Delivery and installation
Distance from our Cambridgeshire base, site access, and whether you want our crew to lay the panels all affect the total. Hiab or forklift offload is included in the delivery plan, not added afterwards.

PowerTrax 60 (SignaRoad)
The 150-tonne HDPE composite system for cranes, piling rigs and fully loaded HGVs on the softest ground. 225kg panels, 3m by 1.88m.
PowerTrax 40
Rubber track mats rated to 150 tonnes. The workhorse for construction access, temporary roadways and event logistics.
PowerTrax 20
Lightweight pedestrian-capable trackway rated to 38 tonnes. Built for mixed-use sites with both foot and vehicle traffic.
TuffTrak
Composite ground protection for heavy plant on soft ground. The Chevron traction surface holds in mud and standing water.
EuroMats (Trax Panels)
Interlocking panels rated to 30 tonnes. Used for car parks, compounds, marquee bases and temporary working platforms.
Which trackway do I need?
Three questions decide it: what is driving on it, what the ground is like, and how long the hire runs.
Identify your heaviest vehicle
Cranes, piling rigs or fully loaded HGVs need PowerTrax 60 at 150 tonnes. Standard construction traffic such as tippers, concrete wagons and telehandlers suits PowerTrax 40 or TuffTrak. Up to 38 tonnes, PowerTrax 20 is the economical choice.
Assess your ground conditions
Soft, wet or boggy ground calls for TuffTrak and its Chevron traction surface. Firmer ground under heavy loads suits PowerTrax 60. Turning areas, compounds and storage need multidirectional coverage, which is where EuroMats interlock.
Consider your timeline
Weekend events suit EuroMats and PowerTrax 20 because they deploy fast with minimal preparation. Multi-month construction projects need PowerTrax 60 or 40 to handle daily HGV movements without degrading, and longer hires get better rates.

Trackway hire questions
How much does trackway hire cost?
Hire is priced per project, not from a fixed price list, because the rate depends on the area covered, the system you need, how long you need it and how far we are delivering. Most hires are quoted by the week, and longer terms bring the cost per day down. Tell us the site location, ground conditions, vehicle types and dates, and we will send an itemised quote covering hire, delivery, installation if needed, and collection.
What is the minimum hire period?
There is no fixed minimum. We run single-day event hires and multi-month construction contracts from the same fleet. Short hires are quoted at a higher daily rate because delivery and collection are spread over fewer days, so if your dates are flexible it is worth telling us at the quote stage.
How quickly can trackway be delivered?
Most orders are delivered within a few working days, and we hold enough stock to move quickly on urgent site access. Panels go down as fast as a crew can place them because the systems interlock, with no ground preparation, fixings or curing time. For a firm date, call us with your postcode and the area you need covered.
Do you install the trackway or is it supply only?
Both. Lighter systems such as EuroMats and PowerTrax 20 are straightforward for your own crew to lay, and many clients prefer dry hire. Heavier panels, including PowerTrax 60 at 225kg each, are usually placed by our installation team with the right handling equipment. We quote either way.
Do you deliver trackway nationwide?
Yes. We deliver and collect across the UK, from Cornwall to the Scottish Highlands, from our Cambridgeshire base. Delivery is by articulated lorry or flatbed with Hiab or forklift offload, so tell us about access restrictions, overhead cables or narrow entrances when you enquire and we will plan around them.
What happens if a panel is damaged or lost on site?
The mats remain your responsibility while they are on hire. Tell us as soon as anything is damaged, lost or stolen so we can replace it and keep your programme moving. Repair and replacement charges follow our published hire terms, and we will always talk through the options before invoicing.
